[SOLVED] *HELP!* 6 TB EXTERNAL HARD DISK - Undetected!

I urgently need help.
The data on my hard disk is valueless, I really cannot afford to lose it.
I'm not an expert, I've never ever had a problem with a hard disk before.

My hard disk is a LaCie porsche design. Either 6 TB or 7 TB, I don't really remember.

It has two connections: one USB (to the pc) and one power supply.

The power supply was left ON during the night. while i turned the pc OFF.
I always make sure to turn both off, but this time I messed up. this might be the cause?

I have another EXTERNAL HARD DISK.
I switched it's USB connection with the LaCie one, and it was detected fine.
This leads me to believe that it's NOT the LaCie USB to have a problem.

Whenever I connect the power supply & usb, I do hear my LaCie hard disk make noises.
I hear it whirring, vibrating, it seems to be alive.
But the light doesn't turn on (not sure how important this is, I remember it being on).

When I connected the USB to another computer, it also did NOT detect the LaCie hard disk.

I've seen a few videos on youtube (yes I know how risky this is) and it seems that a common issue is with the little arm thing stuck on the disk, and that moving it away would solve the issue.

I need to stress how important this hard disk is, not only to preserve the data, but also to access it pretty soon.
I genuinely need help. If any expert could get in touch with me in a fast, direct way through something like Discord, I'd love to tell you all the details needed.

Please please help 🙁

the hard disk is giant. there was no way for me to backup all of the important data on it, although I do agree that some could've easily been backed up. but I had no idea this could happen, or would so soon, or specificially on that hard disk.

I just want to hear the most common problems, most common fixes, most common solutions.
I want to give them a try. if i don't succeed then I'll contact a data recovery company, but not until I at least give it a try
A backup simply requires another drive of sufficient size, and free software.
6TB? Well...if the data is that important, that is what it takes.
How truly valuable is this data?

Then why was there not a backup of this data? A second (or 3rd) copy?

Moving on....

DO NOT DO THIS. Period. Under no circumstances.

I strongly suggest you contact a data recovery company. This will involve actual $$$.

All my house systems get a full backup at least once a week. My main system...all drives, every night.

Storage devices can die at any time. Even brand new.
All of them die eventually.

Most common problems?
Or potentially user fixable problems. Not the same things.

Bad cable. Try a different one
Bad USB port, at either end. Try a different port or different PC.
Bad circuitry in the enclosure. Now you're getting to the outer reaches of "user fixable". How are you with diagnosing a bad PCB and soldering?

Anything beyond that will likely fail, and add a 0 to the cost of any data recovery company "fix".
