Hi everyone,
It's my first time build and I could really use some help with parts for a gaming pc my mind is completely boggled with the amount of choice out there...

My budget is: £600 (around $900)

It will be used purely for gaming, games such as - skyrim, fallout, sims 4 etc... (with mods) on high settings.

I need everything apart from a monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse.

If you need any more info on requirements just ask :)
Thanks :)

This is what I got:

If you need an OS, they're about £15 from eBay

The reasoning for this is mainly speed in games. Hence the quad core CPU and gtx 970.
Fast SSD for boot drive
Large main storage
Good cooler
Reliable PSU
ASUS motherboard, always the best
Finally a nice little case, obviously you can change the case to what you like

Any questions just ask! :)

Thanks this is great I was really looking for the i5 and 970 just didn't know what to pair them with.
Another this in a different thread I posted I paired that i5 processor with a cooler and someone said "Since you're using a locked processor, the aftermarket cooler is a waste of money" ?

It's debatable, the stock cooler is kinda a heap of s**t, so whenever the budget is there I would always get an aftermarket cooler, it helps it run cooler and quieter which will also help to extend the life of the CPU, there isn't really anything else that could benefit from the extra money anyway
