So i got told recently that my cpu is running hot which is causing my games to freeze (sounds keep playing in the background until i crt alt dlt then the game works again)

So when the games freeze i always notice that in the task manager my cpu is running at a 100% (Only when they freeze when the game unfreezes it sits back down to 20-30%)

So what is it thats the question is it high cpu temps or something eles?
The image is just idle temps
And i have an aftermarket $10 cooler.

What cooler are you using and is it better than the stock cooler?

Sounds more like a CPU.bottleneck than a overheating CPU. Now if your CPU is overheating the CPU would throttle a unknown amount that may cause 100% load due to throttling making your CPU run at low speeds

The gamaxx 300 is a half decent budget cooler.
Those temps for idle are incredibly high though mate - if 52c is the lowest its been then you're no doubt hitting 70-75c+ underload.
Are you sure its installed correctly?

What's your motherboard model?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that cooler uses pushpins as a mounting mechanism. Are you absolutely sure all 4 pins are fully inserted and the cooler makes full contact with the CPU?

Install & run, cpu tab
Post thermal limits temp while idling (will be same on all cores)
Install & run prime95

Standard blend test for 5 minutes
Post thermal limit temp while running.
If it gets down to below 5c while running click test tab on prime & stop.

Ambient temperature means "what is the temperature in the room where the PC is installed?" There's a significant difference between a room at 22°C and one at 30°C.

It doesn't matter since your CPU isn't throttling while running Prime95. Run the game and check AMD Overdrive as soon as the game freezes.

Just froze

You running over clocked on the CPU??
Or disabled APM settings in bios??
Just I've never seen a stock chip hit 4.3ghz boost speed on all cores in prime without some tinkering or throttling.
Your idle temps are terrible for some reason ,your load temps are a-ok.

If that's over clocked then your voltage is too low for 4.3ghz on all 8 cores mate .
Either drop the clocks or raise the voltage ,with those temps I would honestly run it at stock.

Nope completely stock man havn't gone near over clocking
Honestly haven't touched a thing
And don't know what apm is or where it is in my bios so little help there
