HELP!!! Abit AI7

trying to hook up sata hard drive. And using pata cd-rom. I get post and set up BIOs. And then go to floormat new drive with western digital cd. And i get a DMI pool data and then non start Disk or disk error what am i doing wrong? BIOs sees hard drive and cd-roms and boot order is 1 cd-rom 2 hard drive 3 floppy. any and all help would be great thanks

I'm runing
MB abit AI7
cpu P4
2 pata cd-rom
1 sata westen digital (WD3200JS)
1 gig ram
OS XP pro

well i have a AI7 also.

1 sata maxtor
1 dvd-reader LG
1 cdwriter teac
1 sata seagate
1 internal rack for ata hdd

i have no problems with that configuration... look at the sata options in bios.

i hope you have the latest version.

P.S.

opticals units must pe slave.
