Help~~~~about ATI in INTEL's motherboard% CPU.

somebody just told me that a HD 5870 running with intel's motherboard & CPU won't show the best as the AMD's motherboard & CPUS does ..

can somebody prove?

if there is a discrepancy (which i doubt) i would likely be < 3 fps

so all in all, don't worry, get the card, you will love it

ATI does NOT optimize their cards for one system or the other, it is stupid to alienate part of the market. An i5 or i7 will show better results with an ATI or an nVidia card than an AMD 965 x4 system would, simply because their processor bottleneck is higher.

If you notice almost all testing is done with an i7 overclocked, this is because the discrepancies between various boards are minimal and the biggest factor is the level of CPU bottlenecking especially when running super powerful cards.
