I am contemplating doing a bit of blinging to my current build, or to perhaps build a new system (not that I need it).
Of import to the question I am asking is that I have an ASRock x370 Taichi which has some manner of RGB header that I have never used. My case is a Phanteks that has some "proprietary" RGB inside, controlled by a button on the case front. The strips for that specifically mentioned being compatible with the case itself, not motherboards. I have an MSI Gaming X that has some limited functionality with Mystic Light.
I have been looking at getting some faster RAM anyway and have seen the G Skill Trident Z RGB available for some attractive pricing. I am considering an AIO, some RBG fans and so forth. I see that ASRock has an RGB control program in the utilities for my board, as well as an additional program called Polychrome. In my own looking around one of the commonalities I see commented on, even from system builders, etc. is actually having the programs work either with each other or with other branded equipment to sync up properly.
With all that said, will the ASRock program work with the other equipment? Is there specific equipment I should be looking for, or a "one size fits all" solution to systemwide RGB sync? Do I have to buy all the same manufacturers equipment?
