Help ASUS VG248QE or similar monitors for gaming

Hi

I am a both online FPS and RPG gamer and I want to buy an ASUS VG248QE 144hz 1080p monitor or any similar monitor in it's price range and features.

I currently have a Palit GTX 750ti 2gb DDR5 GPU but I am going to upgrade to a 1070 one day.

I want to buy the monitor first rather than the 1070 GPU. Would my current GPU be able to run this screen at 144hz whilst playing games? and if so,

What cable do I need to support this screen since my current GPU only has a VGA-, mini-HDMI and some type of DVI -adapter

you can use dualink dvi cables to achieve 144hz... though your gpu will not achieve that high fps in most games... but its the right path of upgrade, monitor first then gpu...

GTX750Ti can run any monitor with any refresh frequency including 144Hz.
Monitor refresh rate means also only the maximum fps it can display.
Can GTX750Ti deliver 144 fps? this is a different question. It depends on the game, game setting and your whole PC specs. You would probably need GTX1060 or GTX1070 to get 144fps on new games.

It is best to use display port but dualink DVI is also ok.

That is tosh... check page 3-7 to 3-8 you cannot achieve over 60 hz therefore making the 144hz monitor redundant....

HDMI is not just HDMI.
What kind of resolutio and refresh rate depends on the HDMI version.
