Help,Asus x550a stopped charging and battery died

My Asus x550a that I got a little sleds than a year ago stopped charging and then shortly after it ran out of battery anyone please help.

Hi,

Test it first weather it's really the battery or the laptop that has the problem.
- Remove the battery and try to boot it up with just the AC adapter.
- If it does boot up with just the AC adapter connected but without the battery that means it's the battery that has the problem but if it doesn't boot up that means there something else wrong with the laptop.

Here are the troubleshooting steps you can do if the problem is with the laptop not the battery.
- Do a hard reset first, remove the battery and AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try to boot the laptop.
- Next is to test the AC adapter and see if it's supplying enough voltage or better yet try another AC adapter that has the same voltage.

- If that will not solve the problem do reseat the RAM, remove them all for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure that they are seated properly into each slot.
- If all these will not work you may need to contact the manufacturer for a repair if it's still under the factory warranty.
