Recently I have been kicked out of pc games. Far Cry, Call of Duty, and Warcraft III. I have installed the latest ATI updates and no help. The screen freezes and either kicks me out to a black screen, or simply freezes and I do a hard shut down.

Running XP on a P4 2.6 800Mhz, Asus P4C800-E Deluxe, Corsair Twin 1024-3200C2 1GB ram DDR400.

Anyone have a suggestion or a similar problem please let me know as I would be most grateful to you.

If there's any part of your computer that your pushing faster then default, whether it's memory latencies, front side bus speed's, votlages, etc., put them back to stock, and try to discover what the culprit is.

Set vDIMM at 2.7v in BIOS by using the manual setting for AI overclocking.

I have a 450 watt power supply. Yes i built it myself. I dl 3dmarko3 last night and put it to the test, it went black the 2nd test into the cpu part. Go figure.

I'll try that vDimm 2.7 and see.

This might sound very strange, but have you cleaned out your system lately? I'm not talking about unnecessary programs, but have you actually cleaned out the inside of your case. A while back, I was having a similar problem and couldn't figure out what it was, someone suggested actually dusting out my system to see if that works, and it did. It wouldn't hurt for you to try it.
