Question Help! Audio constantly stuttering no idea how to fix

Hello my pcs audio is constantly stuttering and cutting out every 5 seconds or so for about a millisecond time but it makes watching and playing anything extremely annoying. It had been going on for while but then it went away for a period and now it seems to be back. I know it is not my headset as i have tried two other pairs of headphones and they all have the same issue. In addition i have tried two different usb sound card and plugging straight into ports. I have also tried disabling realtek drivers and and high definition drivers when using usb sound card to no avail. Please help! Sorry if this is in the wrong category
