I just recently got a ssd for my computer and so I did a fresh install of windows 7 and downloaded all the drivers for my mobo and gpu. I think on the mobo disk, it comes with a program called hd vdeck (VIA HD Audio in the device manager) which is supposed to help with audio. When it is enabled, my speaker icon in the bottem left corner says "the audio service is not running" and no sound will come out of my headphones (which are razer nagas). However, when hd vdeck is disabled, the sound icon will show up and it will say that sound is coming in through my headphones when it is not. If I unplug my headphones. The sound will come through my monitor perfectly fine. Also, I have installed realtek audio but I do not see it under 'sound, video and game controllers' in the device manager.
