but i wanted to ask frm u guys (specialists)
2. so what should i go for-that 5 or fx 8350
3. which mobo is best for 970(HOW BOUT MSI 709 GAMING)?
uuhhh.... right now i have cooler master 311 elite so would the 970 fit in that case plus im also thinking of purchasing CORSAIR H100I so will it fit in 311 elte or would i have to buy a new cabinet aswell?

Solution
With the 4690K CPU, you should be better than good with any GTX 970 4GB GPU. The 4690K won't be slowing down the GTX 970. They will complement each other and you will get great FPS in whatever you do and whatever games played. You might want to get a monitor that has a higher resolution than 1080p. Then you'll really have bragging rights. No TV console gamer will anything on you. The highest TV's go is only 1080p.

I would get a board like this: GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-UD5H

Plenty of PCI and PCIe slots for upgrades/add on's.

EDIT:
Just came across this MB. Another great one. GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK
"BK" stands for black. The black editions have been tested for 168...
For majority of your will it fit questions go to PCPartPicker.com. The h100i will not fit in your case, but the GTX 970 will.

Now on the i5 vs fx 8350. The i5 series is a better CPU vs the amd fx. Look at any benchmarks out there. I would go with a i5 4690K over an amd fx 8350.

Now do you plan to overclock. If not save yourself the extra money and get a good H97 board and the 4690 non-K. If you plan to overclock then I would say go get either Gigabyte Z79 Gaming 5 or the MSI Z79 Gaming 5.

I also recommend getting the MSI GTX 970 Gaming. I own this and an i5 3570K.

A 650W PSU will be fine (I am using a 660W PSU from Seasonic). What kind of PSU though. Make sure it is a good solid one. Look at this list.

A FX 8350 is decent for gaming. If you want to get an Intel CPU like the new devils canyon, you will have to get an Intel based board, with a LGA 1150 socket.

I would get a FX 990 board if you are gonna get a 8350 CPU. A 970 board will do OK but you will be much happier with a 990 board.

The case you have should fit any board from full ATX and smaller. So, no problem there.

The msi gaming 4g would work well in either amd or an intel based board as long as there is a 16x PCIe slot for it. An 8350, a 990 board and the MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G would make for a really good gaming system, IMO. The new 970 GPU's are top of the line and put most all older GPU's to shame.

EDIT:
Am waiting on a gtx 970, my self any day now in the mail. Am stoked about it. And yes, the H100I won't fit. The H80i will do great for you.

HEY BUDDY WHY ARE U SUGGESTING ME THE NON K VERSION , WHATS THE DIFFERENCE
AND NO I WONT OC MU CPU MUCH VERY RARELY

I HAVE HEARD THAT NVIDIA + INTEL COMBO IS D BEST AND NOT NVIDIA + AMD
SO WHAT SHOULD I GO FOR
I KNW THAT I5 IS A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN FX 8350 BUT I HAVE SEEN THE YOUTUBE VID AND IN THAT I5 NAILED THE 8350 IN GAMING ,TOTTALY KICKED ITS ASS
HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iehrXA3n39c
AND THIS TOO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6isBItgobvI

AND WHATS UR CPU WID UR GTX 970?

You can get an AMD MB and a Nvidia GPU will work good. And vice versa.

Am running the new GTX 970 4GB now. It OCs well too. I luv it!

Yup, Intel has definitely got the edge over AMD now especially with the new CPU's with the Z97 and the X99 series MBs.

The difference between a Non-K and a K Intel CPU is a K can be overclock and a non K can't be overclock. So why spend the money if you aren't going to overclock the CPU. Same thing with the Z97 vs a H97 board. Z97 allow for the CPU to be overclock while the H97 will do pretty much everything but overclocking the CPU ability.

I have a i5 3570K and a MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4. So I can definitely say damn it is a beast and can run everything on ultra right now.

thank you guys for answering, last thing though i'll be building my rig in jan end near the release of GTA V . so till then will there be any new cpu by intel ,if not
then these will be my final specs as per ur guidence :)

cpu: i5 4690k (devil canyon)
gpu : msi gtx 970 4g gaming
MB : pls guys now u tell me the final mb that can be overclocked and that can increase the fps or do not create any lag (as i heard msi 970 gaming mobo hs something that doesnt give any lag, heard that in their vedio )
