Every time I play video games, my PC occasionally shows the black screen of death. I have reinstalled windows, cleared the dust off the inside of my computer, and yet it still doesn't fix the issue. Please help.
 
Solution
If your CPU is overheating, you'll need to re-apply thermal grease. Lots of videos on Youtube on how to do this properly.

If it's RAM, you might simply need to remove and reinsert the modules to ensure a proper pin contact.

If it's PSU, you'll need to get it replaced.

If it's the MB, bad news, needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, there's no easy way to diagnose a bad MB unless the voltage levels are blatantly off spec per a monitoring utility. HWMonitor could provide some insight into that.

Basically, that error is with either the CPU or RAM. It's possible you're running into a thermal issue where the CPU is overheating. Improper voltage could cause the issue too; and that can be caused by faulty hardware on the MB or a power rail going bad in a PSU. And that's all assuming you didn't do any recent changes with overclocking (and you stated you did not) or adjusting memory timings of any sort that may have initiated these BSOD events.

I believe that CPU is the problem, I have only experienced crashes when playing CPU heavy games. So what's the fix to that?
