I prefer techdude9's build. I don't trust Sandforce SSDs, and I cannot ethically recommend someone buy ANY Crappermaster products, regardless of quality, because the company is provably dishonest.
He also did not exceed the budget, even by a little.
I don't think even a good 650W PSU can handle a pair of GTX680s. Finally, the WD Black drive is the only series to have retained a five year warranty.

And also even though your preferred parts are gtx the Sapphire Radeon 7970 ghz is alot better for the price and it outperforms the 680 with the new drivers

As a note I like big's build as well. I added a couple more expensive items then he did. Namely case, power supply (love corsair power supplies), and the new samsung 840 professionals which are wicked fast. Totally missed you didn't need overclocking first read through my bad >< you can go with the little bit cheaper option that big has in his build was just trying to get you a little closer to your budget

The only thing I'd change in bigcyco1's last build is to use a WD Black drive instead of the Spinpoint F3. The latter has had its warranty cut to a miserable one year. That suggests they've changed their methods or materials in a manner that does not inspire confidence.

Ok then, and comfortably under budget too. You could add another HDD for RAID1, and/or add a UPS, or nice peripherals (gaming mouse, keyboard, headphones, etc).
