Help building a Gaming/Editing PC?

Hi, could someone give me hand picking the right components for my new PC? My budget is £1200 and it will be used for mainly HD video editing on Sony Vegas and After effects, but I also want to have a graphics card good enough to play high end games such as BF3 and Skyrim. I have been doing alot of research and honestly do not know what to go for, Intel or AMD? ect

Any help would be much appreciated and if you could give me links to each component that would be brilliant

I do not need a Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor or OS as i have all these already
