Total: $4207.01

Approximate Purchase Date: Sep/Oct 2023.

Budget Range: 3.5K-4.5K.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: High-end gaming, watching 4k hdr content and coding.

Are you buying a monitor: No, will be using my s90c OLED.

Parts to Upgrade: Everything.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes.
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:
Doesn't really matter.

Overclocking: Maybe.

Your Monitor Resolution: 3840 x 2160.

Additional Comments: No RGB and no water cooling.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: It's been a long time coming. My current system is getting really old and looking for a high-end, future-proof build.

I had another smaller capacity SSD, an Samsung 980 PCIe 4.0 500GB for the OS, until I figured you got the 2TB for the OS and apps or perhaps my assumption might be wrong.

@YairGOW you want a 120mm rear exhaust fan for that case you've chosen. An unlocked 13 gen i9 on air cooling might not be the wisest choice as that cpu runs hot when all the cores kick in.

Here's a case that's easier to work with, a ATX 3.0 psu with PCIe 5.0, low latency RAM, etc ..

@Lutfij , Thanks! I will go with your PSU recommendation.
And yes, your assumption is correct.
Regarding the RAM, I was also considering the Dominator due to the clock speed, but chose the Vengeance ones cause I don't like the RGB lighting. Will I be able to disable it if I go with the Dominator kit?

@Why_Me, thanks, as well! I will look into adding an exhaust fan, but would like to stick with the Torrent case. Would it really be a problem? Btw, I don't really plan on overclocking, atm, and would just like to have the option in case the need arises. And from what I read, it looks like people made the i9-13900k work well with the NH-D15. I am thinking of going with the i7 instead possibly.
Also, you're saying I should prioritize lower CL over higher clock speeds for RAM, then? Though, to my understanding, the actual latency is a function of both the CL and clock speed values.

Looks good. No need to change a thing.
Keep the vengeance low profile ram which is 35mm high.
Much taller and the NH-D15 front fan will need to be shifted up:

If you need more cores and threads, i would rather suggest the 7950X3D:

get the offset mount bracket:
