Hey guys I’m looking to build a fairly high spec computer as I’m on a game development course at university, I’ve got more of a focus on coding so I want it to compile fast but I do touch on other areas such as modelling. I need something that processes fast and displays decently, in other words a computer not only to play games on but to develop games with too. I will be working with Unreal Engine 4 when it comes out and that’s a pretty damn high spec thing to run.
I’ve never built a computer before but I’ve done some research and I’ve posted some components I think would suit me below (I’m pretty clueless on what PSU and Motherboard I need though). I also need a Wi-Fi adaptor or some sort because I can’t get wired internet in my room. And a friend suggested I get an SSD to put windows on if that’s worth it? Amazon seems to be pretty much the cheapest for all components.
My budget would ideally be between £500-£700 but it can extend up to £1000 if it really needs to, wouldn’t want to spend that much though unless there is some essential must have things.
Oh and it can you tell me if all of these specs would work together currently?
Thanks for your help
