Help building a mini gaming pc for $500?

I'm not exactly sure how to build a mini gaming pc. I don't know what components would fit in a certain a case. Can someone recommend me the parts that I need to build a mini gaming pc under $500? I already have keyboard and OS.
I want to be able to play DAYZ, play wii/ps2 emulations, and steam free games like team fortress.

You want mini look for ATX parts I'm not sure if you could find what your looking for in a mini PC.
Mini parts cost more for less performance the regular sized.

Is it possible for you to get a larger PC
