Hello,
Im building a gaming rig and for multiboxing eve online. Im looking to be able to run 10+ accounts. Id like good graphics and id be fine with 20-30 fps. I was looking at either the new amd 8 core cpu or the intel i5 but im open to others if that would be better. The max I can spend is $3, 000. For the gpu I was planing on an nvidia 670 with 4gb memory. And 32gb of ram.

Your needs are one of the few cases that will benefit from 6-core i7. Something like this would be great:

thanks for the advise guys, I do have a high budget but i would like to keep the cost as low as i can but still have decent proformance. i was wondering how you thought the amd FX 8350 would meet my goals. i know the i7's you listed will be better but did not know if the amd would still get the job done decently well.

FX is worse than the Phenom series.

Therefore Intel destroys the FX series,
AMD-FX even with 8 cores couldn't compare to the I7 or maybe on par with the I5.. However intel is the way forward (for now) 😛

You could always go with i7-3770k, which blows the AMD away and is much cheaper than i7-3930K. Plus, you save another $100 on the motherboard.

there is an issue with this build. as your memory is running at over 1600 you may be limited to only 4 dims. you can fill up the remaining slots but you wont know if they will work till you install windows.
some are compatible some aint. best use the memory recomended by the manufacturer. patriot tend to only allow a max of quad channel.
