First of all I want to say sorry if this is posted in the wrong section of the forum if it is please move it.

OK So i want to build my own PC and i want some advise on parts my budget is £500 or bellow. I wont be doing alot of gaming but I do need a powerful PC. I was thinking of an Amd processor 4-6 cores or something like that.

If you could suggest me the following.

Decent Motherboard.
Power Supply.
Cooling kit such as water cooling
graphics card
case

Not sure what else i need to be honest probably need more but i cant think I have the HDD sorted I have a 750gb sata laying around and i plan to put a 80gb ssd for the OS.

Thanks in advance.

Also are AMD reliable and are they good never used them before.

Well I don't really know your currency, but I can give you an idea of something around which to look.
AMD's are good. Nearly every computer I owned until recently was AMD, and thats because well I didn't think on my build and bought the cheapest parts possible, and slowly upgraded. Not a good idea, costs a lot more.

Anyways, for CPU get this if you can

Motherboard:

Case really depends on looks and cooling, but any decently vented case will do. Look for one you like the looks of. Example:

PSU:

DVD Drive:

RAM:

or if you can afford it

For cooling you do not need water cooling. Mess with that if you want, but it is really unneeded. Just get a decent cooler and good thermal paste:

Graphics should be if you have the money left get the best you can. if you won't game a lot, maybe this :

Again I don't know your currency, but this all together makes a really good PC. I am pretty sure I went over your budget, but should first get the CPU and motherboard listed here, they are pretty good and important pieces. Then the case you want. Get the DVD drive also, might as well. Next get the thermal paste listed or one of similar performance. Get a decent cooler like what I listed, but make sure it fits your case. With what you have left get RAM and graphics. RAM most importantly, you will be fine with 4GB but try for at least 8. Graphics you need at least a 5450 really, because otherwise you won't see anything on screen, but it will only be good for watching movies and using internet, general stuff. It won't do any graphically intensive programs really. Old games, or games on the absolute lowest setting you may get by with but not much more.
