I've never built a full computer before, and I REALLY REALLY want to. I've been planning sort of what I want to do with it and what I want in it, so any help, tips, or maybe advice on build the computer will be nice.
I assume my budget will be around $1,000 - with a little wiggle room possible, nothing crazy.
Things I want in it by default:
- 6 or 8-core CPU, depending on the build
- At least 8GB+ of RAM
- Windows 7, none of this Windows 8 crap.
- At least 1.5TB of HDD space, no SSD's.
What I expect from the machine:
- Hardcore gaming. I want it to be able to handle my games reliably. Some games I currently play are World of Tanks, War Thunder, Team Fortress 2, Natural Selection 2, Day of Defeat Source. I know they're not crazy intensive games, because my computer can't handle anything more than that.
- Future proof. I Know it'll sound stupid, since future proofing a computer is pretty impossible, but I mean extra places to put newer and better items, so I can easily expand without shelling hundreds on other hardware just to fit the new stuff.
- Video streaming. I'm addicted to Youtube, so I want it to be able to handle 1080p stuff without too much hassle, which I guess comes with the package, but who knows.
What I don't want:
- Un-needed gear like Wireless cards, sound cards, dual video cards, SSD's, huge HDD's, liquid cooling.
Any input is greatly appreciated
thanks!
