So i want to build my own PC and i need people's opinion. My budget is $1,300 and I need help with the parts I picked. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/derekbatista/saved/wXVkTW. Thank You.

Solution
If you are getting a non-overclocking motherboard, downgrade to a 7700. It is simply a waste of money to get a K chip and then not be able to overclock. If you do that, drop the water cooler for a Hyper 212 EVO. Next, in this day and age, you need an SSD, I recommend getting a cheap 128GB for the OS so you aren't waiting 5 minutes for your computer to boot up. You also need to upgrade the PSU to a higher quality one if you care at all about cable management, preferably this, https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FQ648d/corsair-power-supply-cp9020101na. After that, if you're willing to take the risk, spend $20 on Windows 10 instead of $100 by going to a key selling website. You should be done.

The biggest problem with this build is you using last gen stuff.
A i5 8400 + 300 series board will give pretty much the same performance and is cheaper. You can also step it up to an 8600k if you want.

Not worth it to upgrade the motherboard as well. 4 cores + 8 threads is fine.

I think you want to be looking at Coffee Lake set up if possible, and definitely want a higher quality PSU. definitely want an SSD for your OS and if you can get windows on the cheap as suggested by General Cool then you might just be able to squeeze in a GTX1070Ti. Here you go!

That's assuming you're after a gaming rig and not something which will do video editing, etc.
