Hi,

I need to buy a new CPU and GPU for my rig, I've got $600 to spend on them, any suggestions?

I'm want my computer to run new games like: Witcher 3, GTA V, The Evil Within, etc...

Sockets in my actual motherboard:
CPU Socket = AM3+
GPU Socket = PCIe 2.0 x16

Other Details of my computer:
Ram = 16 GB
PSU= 480w Antec

Store Preference:
newegg

But could be any store.

Thanks you in advance for the advice, and for your time reading c: !

Solution
You're better off getting a new motherboard too. And with a new GPU, you need a new PSU. This will run those games great. All of these parts can be bought from newegg which is a bonus.

Solution
if you want to stick with am3+ and a really good graphics card go with this. the evga FTW cards are very nice and have high factory overclocks.

An 8350 is just an overclocked 8320. Also he'll need a new PSU

another option to rule out psu concerns. the g1 gaming cards overclock nicely and come with a backplate just like the FTW+.

Junky PSU...

probably better than what he has and itll run the system fine on the same budget... so whats your point?

ive used mid tier psu's on all my budget builds and have never once had an issue...... my current rig has a coolmax 700w 80+ bronze 6 years old and have replaced the cpu/gpu 2x on the same psu that cost me $45 mid tier is fine in most cases unless you are running multiple processors or pushing the wattage to max output 90% of the time in which case the wattage is too low anyway.
