Wife's birthday is this weekend and I want to get her a laptop to watch movies on as she is using an older Samsung tablet.

1. What is your budget?
None but prefer multiple price range options
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
around 15"
3. What screen resolution do you want?
best quality for streaming movies or downloaded movies
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
No
5. How much battery life do you need?
Doesn't matter she keeps it plugged in
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
No gaming
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Watching movies
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
Doesn't matter

She keeps them till they fall apart usually
11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

She watches movies in the dark and it needs to have a headphone jack as she can't use speakers 99% of the time. So a great screen is the main thing wanted. She watches all the streaming services and has movies on an external HD.

For her intended use, it doesn't need to be a power house as you no doubt would be aware of. Specs today would be more than enough. The main thing is quality of screen that is attached. Any OLED laptop comes to mind.

That's what I was wanting to know people opinions on some of the better screen for different price points as I try to research things into the ground and end up missing her birthday. XD
