Question Help calibrating new monitors: seems a bit too bright and colors/blacks a bit washed out.

So, I just hooked up a pair of these...

Hooked up to my PC, they look a little overly bright and color a bit washed out... I tried fiddling with brightness, contract, and gamma, but I just made things worse so I was wondering if there is software floating around out there that can help me calibrate the colors on these things? If not, does anyone have any advice on what I should adjust?

Settings > Display > Advanced display settings > Display color calibration
