Question Help! Can't decide between 2 budget laptops

guys im basically planning to buy a budget gaming laptop (a cheap one,right now i can only afford the cheapest). For 4 years i played games in intel hd 3000 and it was horrible but finally convinced my parents to get a new one.

But im too confused between 2 laptops:

1.)One with a amd ryzen 5 2500u with rx 560x 4gb graphics(Acer Nitro 5) and
2.)the other with i5-8250u with nvidia gtx 1050 4gb graphics(Asus f560 gaming)

Both have 8gb ram and same prices. Pls help me with this which is better for gaming .and im also concerned about temperature rise during games because my present laptop heats up as if burning so just being careful this time.
i know they both are really close but im still confused and cannot decide one.

Well, can't say I know much about how well AMD mobile chips perform. They've practically been a non-consideration for so many years. Passmark gives the AMD chip about a 10-15% advantage in overall throughput, but the Intel chip gets a 20% advantage in single core speed. Many games still respond more to less faster cores.

I'm using an i5-8350u to write this, and it is basically the same chip as above. 4 cores 8 threads, so equivalent to an older i7 ultrabook processor if that helps in anyway.

GTX1050 and RX560 are fairly close in terms of performance. Nvidia cards typically do better with DX11 (older titles, console ports, etc) and RX cards typically pull ahead on some DX12 titles. For that you need to look at benchmarks for the games you want to play.

K Thanks for ur reply . I checked their comparision already and they beat one other in different games with around 5fps difference. That's why im confused.I have not played a lot of games that are released with obligate dx11 feature.I just want a laptop that could run future games smoothly and even at low settings not a problem.

They are different pieces of hardware and will perform differently under different circumstances. Even the chassis they are installed in will change performance. Even individual GPUs will differ from one another. You can only go by generalities when it comes to computer hardware.

If one game requires more calculations of a certain type and that causes the card to heat up, then it will perform worse due to temperature. If the game isn't limited by the CPU and the GPU is set to make as many frames as possible (as in most benchmarks) then it may over-perform and overheat. You might be able to get more consistent performance by setting limits on frames rates for example.

Any of these three will let you play games available now and for some time in the future, but no one can be certain when a game will be released that you wouldn't be able to run.

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for ur responses .
Now i have decided asus f650 .I have seen a lot of reviews and all of them are equal except a lot of reviews says that asus f650 had no heating issues, while others started throttling after 3 or 4 hours.
I dont worry much about the future games bcz i have lot left from the past and after 2 or 3 yrs ill buy a better updated one by my own,i want the games to play atleast at the lower settings and ill manage with it. (I'm a student right now and i have strict parents along with poor financial situations, so i can afford only this ,even this took me 3 years to convince my parents).But i can just get rid of intel hd 3000,atleast no more games with 5-15fps.
