i just did a windows 7 update and now i my gpu is not working, i tried to use ddu uninstaller but it would still not work. a pop up would appear saying there was a problen starting C:\Users\A\Appdata\Local\Temp\NVI2_29.DLL ? what should i do at this point

Solution
I would start by booting into safe mode and doing a malware scan. After that, restart and go back into safe mode (F8 at startup brings up the menu to get in safe mode) and run DDU in safe mode. Once drivers are removed, boot into normal windows and attempt to install the NVIDIA drivers. Only select Physx and the display driver, leave out the other junk.
Assuming you've downloaded the latest drivers for your card, use the 'advanced custom' install option. Then make sure you choose 'clean installation'. I also uncheck the items I don't need, like 3d vision and HDMI audio. Then install the drivers and it should wipe out the previous ones.
