[Help] Case and GPU compatibility

I purchased a corsair air 240 case i have already purchased some of the parts for my build but I'm really confused on what GPU fit in my case the card i'm interested in is the 970 gtx windforce or the G1 apparently it is to long according to pc part picker but alot of owners of the case say it should fit. http://imgur.com/tdwxknG http://imgur.com/t2m4t3Z

The maximum GPU length is 290mm, according to Corsair.

According to the specs the maximum GPU length is 290mm or 11.4 inches
The Windforce is 12.28 inches or 312mm.

Thats what the sites states but alot of people are able to fit the windforce with a 100i cooler

It appears none of us own the case ,so all we can do is look up the manufacturers specs. Which state that it does not fit.
Best option would be to break out a tape measure and check it.
Measure from the pcie slot covers to the fans. To convert to mm multiply inches x25.4=mm

I've just done the measurements it is 345.44mm

In that case it will fit.
If none of us own that particular case then all we have to go by is manufacturers specs. Which several of us stated. And according to them it would not fit.
But if you did your measurements correct then it will fit without a problem.
