Help! cat puked in my computer!

Okay so i don't mind my cat sitting on my computer cause he obviously likes the warmth from the fans or something...But today i came home and found a liquidated hairball dripping into my tower. Now the thing won't turn on. nothin'. I THINK the computer was off when i left for work but i dunno sometimes i put it to sleep and i come back and it's still on....so main question...what should i be looking at first?

take apart ur pc and let it dry out. if its ur mobo let it sit out somehwere where static will not short it, most likly it is ur mobo

That depends on where the puke went. If it dripped into the PSU, it's probably done, even if your PC was off.
Cat puke is not so caustic as to burn holes in things, but if your PC was on when it hit, a short could have done permanent damage. A lot depends on whether the PC was on or not.

lol well i threw the thing away. thanks though. also brought the cat out into the forest and let him go as a kind of punishment. i wonder what happened to the stupid thing.

my dog walked right up to mine and lifted his leg on it just out of the blue one day like he was out side at a fire plug [needless to say he now enjoys the outdoors more then ever before ]
