Both my HP9100B and a generic 48X CD Rom have become extremly particular
reading any CDR or CDRW disc's since a completely fresh install of Windows
XP Pro.

Attached are my particluars:

1. Fresh formatted install of WIndows XP Pro (completely updated via Windows
Update minus SP2)
2. 850 Mhz processor / 256 Ram / TYAN Trintiy 400 motherboard (S1854)
3. 40 Gig HD on Primary Master / 6 Gig HD on Primary Slave
4. 44 X CD Rom on Secondary Master / HP9100B CD-Writer of Secondary Slave

Both CD drive will easily recognize commercial CD'd, but have problems
reading various homemade CDR's?

Please advise..

Thanks

A good cleaning of the drives should help.
