Hello everybody. I have been reading this forum for years and this is my first post.
I am building a budget gaming system. I have decided to go with the FX 6350, possibly the 4350. The only question I have is what motherboard and chipset would be best for me.
I may overclock in the future
I have no intention of using 2 graphics cards.
At least 16 gig supported memory. 1600 or 1866 speed.
Would like to have an onboard GPU just to hook my monitor up till i drop some cash on a dedicated GPU. And that would probably be a gtx 660ti.
I am not to clear on the differences of the chipsets below. Besides USB 3.0 support. Directx 10.1 support compared to 10. And how many Sata ports they have. And onboard video.
AMD 760G
AMD 770
AMD 785G
AMD 870
AMD 880G
AMD 890FX
AMD 890GX
AMD 970
AMD 990FX
AMD 990X
I basicly dont want to over pay for a motherboard with stuff I dont need and will never use. This is a budget build of course. No sence in buying a 9 series if i can get by with a 7 series.
