Hi forum folk!

I am trying to decide on a graphics card so that I can upgrade my current PC. The problem is I am completely new to PC hardware and I must say I'm pretty lost. I have a graphics card I am looking at and I'm wondering if this will be optimal in my current system. I realize that it's all fairly dated, but since I'm new I'm not too ready for the hardcore gear.

Motherboard: Asus F1A55-M LX PLUS
Power supply: diablotek DA series PSDA400 400watt ATX 12V

The graphics card I am considering is: NVIDIA- GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card

So I'm jut wondering if this graphics card will work well for me!
Again I know it's dated but I'm new to tech.
I'm so sorry if I left anything out.
If you have any other suggestions I'm open to all as long as they will work and get some better life out of this PC!

I would recommend a GTX 560 ti or Higher since its a better performing card which will perform better and longer with all the new games coming out. You can find it in closeout in many places.
