Help choosing between monitors

I know extraordinarily little about displays so I would like some advice on the differences between some monitors. I am looking to get a 1440p monitor eventually for now I am looking for a cheapish 1080p monitor to get me by in the meantime, I will use it primarily for gaming.

I have seen what looks like a good deal on newegg on a dell E2414Hr, but I would rather not wait for delivery. My locale pc store has a rather limited selection on displays for what I am willing to spend and they are mostly benQ monitors of which I have heard mixed things.

The benQ monitors are what my local shop has in stock and the dell is the monitor currently on sale at newegg. I would rather get a monitor locally so I can skip the wait but obviously I will wait if it means a big difference in quality. So if anyone can tell me which I should choose and why, I would really appreciate it. Also if anyone has a suggestion for a monitor around 200$ Canadian that would be worth the wait please let me know. Thank you.
