Hello from Norway. If I could build the pc myself, I would. But as I stand today, I have to buy a premade one.
Main reason for buying new pc is too play competetive FPS, fortnite and others. Mostly Fortnite, on 240fps/hz.

Is it true I gotta go 3000mhz+ to reach 240fps stable? Is 3000mhz ram bricks important when it comes to gaming on high fps?

Now I'm gonna post some links (norwegian site) to two computers I've been looking at.

1st PC (cheapest)

ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
INNO3D GeForce RTX 2070 Super Twin X2 OC
Corsair Vengeance LPX - DDR4 - 16 (2666MHz)
Silentium Vero M2 Bronze 600W
AMD Wraith Max CPU cooler

Is the ryzen 5 3600 able to pull 244 fps on fortnite low settings? I heard AMD is worse then intel in gaming. I also heard AMD needs more mhz from the ram sticks to support the cpu?
Is this a good pc? I also heard something about having to update B450 motherboard to run the cpu 3600 ryzen?

2nd PC
https://www.multicom.no/multicom-noox-i626cr-rgb-gaming-pc/cat-p/c100583/p1500011905

ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming
Intel Core i7-9700K 3.6GHz-4.9GHz
INNO3D GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Twin X2 OC
Corsair Vengeance LPX - DDR4 - 16 GB (2666MHz)
Silentium Vero M2 Bronze 600W
SilentiumPC Fera 3 HE1224 v2 Slim profile CPU cool
(tho I got a U14-s noctua cpu cooler that I think suits this one)

Is it necessary for me to go with the 9700k? necessary is maybe a bad word.. if you wanted to go 240fps, 240hz.. what pc would you go?
If none of them, please give me some tips on what to buy, what to look after when I choose a pc.

Budget for pc is around 1700$. Sorry for being abit messy and unclear with my whole post, hope to get as many replies as possible before I make my choise.
Thanks in advance, need professional help.

If you want higher fps, you need to get the CPU with the fastest single threaded performance. That would be the 9700k. The 9700k will average around 5%ish better fps. But when you turn quality settings up, the bottleneck moves to the GPU. At low quality settings, both of those CPUs will be close to 240hz. But at 1080p epic settings, you will be in the 160fps range (which is still very high).

If you go with the Intel CPU (9700k), then you dont need 3000mhz+ RAM. If you go with AMD, then you will need the faster RAM.

In my opinion, 240fps is just a number. Say the 3600 only gets 10fps fewer than the 9700k, will you ever notice a difference? I would not. If you playing competitively you will probably dial the settings to low...

Here is an article reviewing fortnite benchmarks with various GPUs.

Thank you for your quick and long answer. If I have to buy faster RAM the price would almost be similar, so I guess the 9700k build is better for me then. As said I also got the U-14S Noctua that I can install on it if the cooler on the premade pc is bad.

Do you know if 600w powersupply is enough to run this pc? I'm going to play with low settings to get the faster frame. I dont mind having low graphic aslong as the game runs as smooth as it can be.
