Hi there I'm in a right dilemma choosing graphics card and would really appreciate some help.

My setup is
Amd fx8320 OC'd to 4ghz
8gb ram

My budget is around £200 and want a graphics card that would probably play future games on high to ultra settings

MSI gtx 670 OC for £160
XFX radeon 7970 for £203

Any other suggestions?

Thank you

At this given moment i would get Nvidia. I doubt you can utilize that extra ram except on 2560x gameplay. And i honestly feel the software for Nvidia is better designed than what i am used to on the 6970 i have in my other box
If you wanna spend a couple more pounds you can just get the cheapest gtx 770 you find. That will be your answer, or even better get the Asus GeForce GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 2GB, i see it is about 162 pounds in Norway atm. Dunno about the UK price, should be equal or better

Im planning to play it on a hd monitor and occasionally hook it up to my 60inch HD TV, out of the 2 recommendations above which one would be better a 7970 ghz edition or a 770?

That would be a matter of how you feel about nvidia and ati. Been running ati the last ten years myself, but i do have a gigabyte 770 now. Any choice is excellent, i do enjoy the Nvidia driver routines more tho

Looking through the forums in terms of being future proof now i dont mean forever proof I just want to buy a card that will last a couple of years and be able to play next gen game ultra settings now the 7970 has 3gb Vram and 770 2gb but theres PhysX for Nvidia and talks about mantle for AMD overall as of this moment which would you buy considering the fact that 770 costs 30 quid more
