Help choosing GT 740 version also PSU help.

I am going to be upgrading my computer soon. I have decided that I am going to be getting the GT 740, the issue I have run into is that there are two editions, 1 GB GDDR5 and a 2 GB DDR3 version (in the price range I want), which one would be better in general and also for gaming. Another issue is that I have a small case, I realized that the PSU the computer came with would not cut it (180 Watt) and I needed to upgrade, since I need to get a Micro ATX PSU it is hard to come by in higher wattages. Will a 300 watt cover it? (I am running with an i3, 6 gigs of RAM and a 1TB HDD)

Crunched the numbers on those parts with http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator and it sounds fine, more memory is always better on a graphics card. i play bf4 a lot it uses 1.95 gb ingame, go the 2gig model for sure
