Hello All,

I'm looking for a little help, I'm a bit of a noob at computers.

My ~5yr old custom PC recently started failing and I believe the issue is with the motherboard. I'm looking for a replacement but I'm not sure what motherboards (chipsets) are compatible with my setup. I know z97, lga 1150 socket works, but finding a cheap one is difficult.

My set up: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pckrBb

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I was thinking about whether or not b81, b85, h97, h81 boards will work or not? Or are z97 boards the only ones compatible? I apologize for not being clear.

so as long as the socket (lga 1150) matchs, it will be functional?

Keep in mind buying and old used or refurbished is usually a very short term solution. I would start saving your green stamps for a the new Intel Gen 8/9 model or a AMD Ryzen/Ryzen 2 rig. You would need to replace the motherboard, CPU, RAM and O/S unless you bought a retail version for your old system.
