i need a new 8 port gigabit switch no Poe, to replace my very old one (no name).
i don´t think i need a Managed switch, never thought just wish I could manage it.

what would you guys recommend??.

I have looked at these:

Netgear GS108:

Asus GX-D1081 V3:

D-Link DGS-108:

D-Link DGS-2208:

TP-Link TL-SG1008D:
http://www.tp-link.us/products/details/?categoryid=1585&model=TL-SG1008D

i have no idea what to choose, dont know what brand to go for.
on some forums people pointing often on the Netgear GS108 but the model is at least 2 year old.
but i don´t think that there is many better functions in a newer model??.

but that is also why I'm asking you guys for help. :)

Best regards me

If you have a router, then most likely you don't need a managed switch. 99% of home users do not need a managed switch. Netgear, ASUS, Dlink and TP-Link are all good brands....

If you are just sharing an internet connection or doing peer-to-peer networking, virtually any switch will be fine. If you are doing any streaming (i.e. HTPC to clients), I would suggest avoiding the "green" switches that automatically lower power or turn off ports based on no usage as it can create problems with streaming video.
