I have a Toshiba 4TB HDD in my computer that I use primarily for installing games and Picture files. This morning, the Toshiba HDD started making buzzing sounds so I called and got an RMA. Instead of buying another HDD to replace it, I'm thinking of buying another SSD. I have an Asus Prime X470-Pro motherboard and an XPG SX8200 PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 2280 480GB SSD. This motherboard has another M.2 slot that it's my understanding would take a SATA drive. I want a drive that is at least 1-2 TBs.

I would like input as to what drive I should buy that's not too costly. Should I get a SSD for the M.2 slot or a regular SATA SSD?
