Help! CMOS Bad Checksum and Cursor Only on Boot

Hello,

My computer was working fine until I just changed the heatsink and fan on the CPU. Now when I boot I just get a cursor. If I remove the battery and reboot it shows me a CMOS bad checksum and lets me into the BIOS, but when I save and reboot again it's back to the cursor.

Guess it was the battery. Never had that happen before. Maybe I accidentally shorted it when I was messing with the MB. Thanks all.
