So as GTA V is Being released I am looking to upgrade my pc. Atm I would like to change my mobo, cpu and ram and some other parts if mecessary, not looking for a high end pc, more in the range of a budget build.

What I want to buy so far: i5 4690k, asus sabertooth z97 mark 2, corsair vengeance 8GB the 1600mhz one (2x4).

My current setup is: psu:650W; gpu:r7770 power edition factory OC; cpu:amd athlon II X2 3.00GHz; VDATA 2GB DDR3 1333MHz PC10600 240pin x2 ; motherboard: msi 770 c45;
Also I would like to know if my current ram will be of any use, 2x2GB like to make it 10GB of ram.

What I mostly want to do on my pc is: gaming on high+ settings with skype+youtube and 10-20 tabs open in the background, photo editing, 3D photoshop editing/modelling.

My previous build with a gtx 440 worked fine for LoL ultra settings@100+fps, bf3 high settings, low shadows @ 60-70fps; bf 4 medium settings, low shadows @ 60-70fps; gta 4 high settings with lots of mods @40-50fps; WoW MoP ultra settings multiplier 8x @ 40-50 fps open world, 25-30 fps crowded city.

You don't need the unlocked i5. A 4460 well do nearly as well, and a Xeon 1231 v3 costs about the same and has Hyperthreading for your other uses. If you do go with an unlocked CPU, I assume you will be overclocking it, so you will need a cpu cooler too.

If you mix memory, the timings will default to the lowest common settings. How does 2 x 4 and 2 x 2 make 10Gb? You could try it and see if it helps. I doubt that it will.

If you do not overclock you can use a H97 motherboard and, in any case, you could consider a cheaper motherboard unless you plan something extreme.

Nothing extreme or super extra power overclocking. just 2015 games maxed out or high'd while music plays in the background and talking on skype as the workstation part my crappy cpu+ram is able to handle my needs, so if there is a way to go cheaper than this but still have good performance then no problem for me. The reason I picked the sabertooth is the armor it provides, whether it is worth or not I do not know but judging by the cooling efficiency and actual armor from hardware damage it is better than the h97. I meant 12 GB for RAM sorry. Do I also need to upgrade my gpu? And do I need a cpu cooler? I've considered cooler master hyper 212 EVO, but I've been using stock fans since 2002 and never encountered any problems with CPU overheating.

P.S: if I wont be able to run bf hardline, gta 5, fifa 15 on high+ settings I might consider overclocking.

I decided to follow your suggestion and this is what I've come up with:
New parts:

Kingston HyperX FURY Dual Channel Kit 8Gb (Kit of 2*4GB) DDR3-1600 PC12800, 10-10-10, FURY’s asymmetric BLACK heat spreader

CPU Intel Core i5-4460 3.2-3.4GHz (6MB, S1150,22nm,Intel Integrated HD Graphics,84W) Tray 4 cores, 4 threads,Intel HD 4600

ASUS H97M-E Intel H97, LGA1150, Dual DDR3 1600MHz, PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16, HDMI/DVI/RGB, USB 3.0, SATA RAID, SATA 6Gb/s, SB 8-ch., Gigabit LAN

DEEPCOOL Cooler "Theta 21 PWM" http://www.deepcool.com/product/cpucooler/2013-12/7_254.shtml
It costs me around 10$ and I dont think I need a 212 EVO as in my country it's ~70$

Old parts:
650W psu
ATX case middletower
MSI ATI RadeonHD7770 PE/OC 1GB 1.1 GHz
