Help computer won't boot!!

I have installed the a new power supply and the fans but now my computer reboots when I turn it on and then just the fans are on and it doesn't boot up? There is a 8 pin power connector on the motherboard however I do not have correct pattern with th cable on mine so placed the only one 8 pin connector I have?
Please help me!!

Sorry what do you want a picture of? I have tried plugging my old power supply into the power slots and it's still not working, any ideas? Thanks for the reply btw

The led next to the CPU is solid red, is this an issue?

Just to check that everything is plugged in as it should be. I don't know what motherboard you're using so can't tell you anything about the led.
