If the is the wrong place sorry! I thought it was most appropriate.

A little run down of my problem. I have a dj controller (XDJ-RX) that has a hookup for ethernet on it to connect to a program on the computer. I can't go straight into the ethernet port on my desktop because its being used to connect it to the router. I bought a USB to ethernet adapter hoping that would work, but I am having no luck being able to connect it that way. The dj controller needs to be connected through ethernet to be able to connect to the program.

When plugging the dj controller straight into the desktop via ethernet it work perfectly, but I have no internet access. I also tried plugging the ethernet from the router into the usb adapter and the computer didn't recognize it as anything.

Any help would gladly be appreciated. I know how to work around a computer, but don't know specifics when diving deep into the subject.
Thanks!

Yes, but Rekordbox, also has a paid version which cooperates a lot better, which uses the USB.
The main version that is free won't find the device unless connect as specified above.

EDIT: I think it might be easier to plug the controller straight into the computer and use the adapter for the router. I just don't know how to configure it to read that ethernet as the correct one. If that is even possible

Everything I know about Rekordbox has shown that it does not play nice with 2 networks. It's recommended that you use it on a pc that is not connected at all to the internet, disable your firewall completely, shut the controller down, then reboot and restart.
