Doing my first build and have a question.
I bought an EVGA 750 watt platinum PSU and am confused as to which cables to connect to the graphics card (Nvidia Reference GTX 970).
The GTX 970 has 2 - 6 pin connection holes on it.
MY PSU has a few different VGA cables that go into the GPU.
I either have the option of using 2 separate cables where one end has 8 connectors that go into the power supply and the other end that goes into the GPU has 6 connectors with 2 hanging off to the side.
The other option is a cord that obviously has the 8 connectors that go into the psu but it has a 6 connector at one end that goes to the gpu and then it branches off to another 6 connector with 2 hanging off to the side.
Do I use the 2 separate cords or do I use the 1 cord one that splits off into 2 6 pins?
I'm also assuming that whichever one you tell me to use that the 2 extra pins hanging off to the side just kind of lay there and are useless in my set up.
