Hello,

My new EVGA GTX 980 ti came in the mail today! But I have trouble connecting my card to my Power Supply, I have a be quiet 630 W power supply. I'll attach some pictures. I don't know what cables to use? Do I need to buy some new ones? I only have what came with the graphics card, and I can't seem to find out where they need to go at all, and they do not seem to be long enough at all?

Your PSU Sould have come with PCI-E cables as its Modular, The cables that you have linked are just extensions, it will be an 8 Pin input which will lead to 2 heads both being 8 Pin, one you will plug in as a 6Pin and the other will be plugged in as an 8 Pin. If you don't have these cables you can purchase some to use with your PSU.

Just thought that I'd add that the cables that you need will be in the PSU Box, they won't come with the new Graphics Card.

That was my thinking, thank you. I do not have these cables, so I have to find a shop that sells them. Do you know what they are called? The cables I'm looking for i mean?

And I just need the two?

Sorry, but I'm not that great with computers, I company put it together back when I got it, I just picked out the parts, and now I'm kinda on unexplored territory here when upgrading :p

Okay, if a company has provided you with this graphics card and not plugged it in I'm not really sure what they were doing.. The cable you need is an 8Pin PCI-E Cable, it's just 1 cable but has 2 heads on it, 8 Pin into your PSU and then splits off into 2 6 Pins with 2 Pin extensions. If this company has put together your computer they should provide you with a cable, if not you just need to get one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/SilverStone-40080-SST-PP06B-2PCIE70-SATA-Cable/dp/B00A98T5XG/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1437388322&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=modular+8pin+PCI-ecable
This is an example of the cable you need, I would honestly purchase a Be Silent! version of this cable.

Hey,
The company did plug in the graphics card back when I bought it, but I decided to upgrade it, since it was a AMD 7700 series, very old and I needed a new one. But they did not send me any cables from my power supply with it, and the card I had before did not use cabels to power supply
Thanks for the link! I'll try to see if a store sells this off the self so I do not have to wait even longer to get started! I live in Denmark, but I'm sure there must be!
Just to wrap up and make sure I understand it correctly
I don't need the cables from the card, just the cable you linked. Then the 8 pin head into the card and the two 6 pins into the power supply.
On a website I saw it used 600 W so will that really provide enough power?

Thank you for your quick answers!

The card itself uses 250W, your PSU is 630W and yes it's cutting it very close if you can't find the cable anywhere local which unless you have a specialist computer store nearby this cable is probably going to be hard to come by. The Main 8Pin will plug into either PCI-E 1 or 2 on your PSU then the 2 heads on the cable which are 6 Pin with 2 Pin extensions will go into the card (One will plug in with both 6+2Pin and the other will just be plugged in with 6Pin) It doesn't matter which way round they go in your graphics card. If you have any other problems just drop a message on here. If you can't find the cable then you should contact the company that built this machine to get the cable from, if not upgrade your PSU to at least 750W.

Would it be possible to run it without the cable for a day or two untill the cable arrives with the mail? Or do I have to plug my old card back in untill?

Alright then there is nothing for it, I'll have to wait another day, I'll use the overnight option, it seems to be able to do that to Denmark, if I'm lucky! Thank you so much for your time and answers! I will order it here in a minute and then I'll be able to use it tomorrow!

Once again Thank you!
