Whenever I plug my xbox one controller into the computer using a micro usb cable the home button blinks and then goes black. I'm not sure what is wrong because when I go to device manager nothing shows up. My computer doesn't even recognize there being anything plugged in.

Tried another cable and it did the same thing. I also used a flash drive in the same port that I've been putting the controller into and it worked. The error logs said nothing about a driver failing to install and I also tried another controller but it did the same thing.

Read your 1:29 PM posting and re-thought things a bit....

Since the USB port is working then I would believe the problem is the controller itself or the cable.

Is your cable a micro-B?

Have you tried connecting with the batteries removed?

Can you determine if the controller(s) will work on another computer?

The controller works I checked it with my Xbox as well as another computer , the cable is micro-B , and I tired with the batteries out and it didn't work. I think it is a problem with my computer's USB drivers.
