I need some help in installing the power connectors to a GTX 760 video card into a new PC. My current system has:
Mother board: ASUS Maximus VI Hero
Power Supply: Cosair CS650M
Video card: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 760
The power supply has three 6 pin connectors for Peripheal & SATA, and two 8 pin connectors for 6+2 PCIE and 4+4 CPU.
The video card has one 8 pin and one 6 pin connector.
I have one cable that is an 8 pin on one side (for power supply), and has two 6+2 connectors on the other end.
My questions are:
1. Do I use the above cable and just plug everything into both connectors on the video card leaving one 2pin connector hanging?
2. Or do I use the above cable and connect one of the 6+2 cables to the 8 pin connector, and then get another cable for the 6 pin side and connect that to the power supply?
The manual that came with the video card just says to be sure to hook up the appropriate cables to the board. Not real helpful to me.
)
Thanks!!
