HELP CPU RUNNING AT 49 Degrease when web browsing

help my amd athlon x4 is running hot at 49 degrease when running hwmonitor but when i go to bios and check my temps there it says 33 degrease also i am using stock heat sink

That temp is well under the max temp!!!!!!!

You can try one of the following:

1) Make sure your BIOS is up to date.
2) Make sure you're running the latest version of that software.
3) Try other software online (from trusted sources)
4) Search to see if the manufacturer has their own monitor utilities.
5) Take the CPU fan off, the CPU off and clean the old thermal junk off with a moist (not wet, but moist) lint-free cloth or high quality paper towel, using 99% rubbing alcohol (not he 70% type). Re-apply with arctic silver 5 or some good quality thermal paste.
6) If you have no clue, your only option is to take the computer into a local repair shop, or try the manufacturer, or find a relative or friend who knows computers.

Hi,

you have to consider that even if your only web browsing,
your antivirus might be doing something, windows might update and so forth.
Also 49 degree is fine, what temps are you getting under full load ?

Usually in the Bios your cpu would be running near 100% usage. Also, are you sure that its not 49 degrees F on hwmonitor and 33 c in the bios? Word of advice get rid of the heatsink and get a TX3 evo or a 212 evo if you have some cash. They are boat loads better at cooling and it is a great way to keep your cpu cooler at a decent cost.

49 (if its Celsius) is pretty hot for idle, but in order to help you some more I would need some more info like clock speed etc. One other thing is I would check and see if you need to change your thermal paste if it has been a while.

i ran prime95 and i get 75 degrease on full load

i am running a amd athlon ii x4 750k at stock clock rate which is 3.4ghz, in my bios all of my fans are set to normal

also the rest of my system is running bellow 30 degrease celsius my gpu running at 29 degreaese celsius and my hdd is running at 25 degrees celsius

i have a question about getting the coolermaster tx 3 evo on my gigabyte motherbaord it has a cpu cooler bracket as seen here -->http://assets.hardwarezone.com/img/2013/01/CPU_VRM-600M.jpg will i have to have the fan facing down towords the video card or up towords the top of the case or can i have it like this -->http://images.bit-tech.net/content_images/2009/08/five-lga1156-coolers-tested-on-lynnfield/tx3.jpg

The fan will be placed like the second photo that you listed. It will be in line with the fan in the back of your case.
