Hi

Brand new card (Gigabyte - GTX 1050 Ti OC 4G(rev1.0/rev1.1) installed and for some reason the fan speeds are running at 3000 - 3200 RPM.

I've installed the latest video card driver as well as Gigabyte utility application.

I've tried adjusting fan speeds with the official software and most recommended 3rd party GPU utility tools and no luck.

The card works fine and temps are running low but the high fan speed creates an annoying sound. Also keep in mind that the fan speeds are running at high RPM in idle without any tasks running.

I'm running an AsRock z77 Extreme 4 Motherboard and an i5 3570k CPU on a Windows 10 platform and all my drivers/software/bios are up to date.

Please advise on a way forward.

Regards

I've trried all presets and manual settings, none seems to work

No weird usage when checked, also i didn't even such a thing existed lol " cryptominer malware "

You can try sth which might sound irrelevant and that is uninstall the Gigabyte graphics monitoring utility or whatever other utilities by Gigabyte you have installed and see if it makes any difference.

I have hands on experience debugging systems with BSODs where Gigabyte code was having hardware level conflicts with OS drivers and services.

It might sound odd but you can try it.

You can also try a clean installation of an older version of the graphics driver and see how it goes.

Maybe others with more experience on this can elaborate further.
