My specs:

Motherboard - Asus asus m4a88t-m
CPU - amd black phenom x6
RAM - Kingston 2 4gb sticks
PSU - Corsair tx650

My PC was working as usual and then it went gray screen and died. I then tried restarting and the screen didn't come on, and the D_RAM LED was on for a few seconds on startup. Then it will go off for a bit then come back for another second.

I have tried mostly everything I know and what has been suggested for this problem on forums like these. But maybe someone could help. I think it might be the motherboard, because I used my RAM on my friends PC and it worked. I also tried using his RAM on my PC and it didn't.

I have tried loosing the screws and disconnected it from the case altogether. Also used every RAM combo and Memok!

Also used my friends power supply on my motherboard and it had the same problem. Do I need a new motherboard?

My PC is like 4 years old now with hundreds if now thousands of hours put into it.

EDIT - So I reset the Bios with jumper and then also took out the battery for 5 mins and then powered it on and it worked, Should be noted that I also took out the gpu and my sound card.

Then when I put the gpu back in I had the same problem, so is my gpu broke?

Possible tonight I can, ill use my friends. My GPU is SAPPHIRE HD 5670 512M, it is quite old now.

used my friends GPU and my computers runs fine again. Guess why old GPU died. Problem solved :)

Hopefully this thread can help somebody out in the future.
